In the most common scenario, I would receive a short sample of your work along with a synopsis (including a word count), and a quick description of what you feel you need at this point in your project to determine whether we're a match.
I have been working as a writer and editor for a large publisher of legal and professional online content and print books since 2012. I have also worked for literary journals, as an assistant fiction editor (Fiction International, 2015-2017) and as the fiction and creative non-fiction editor (Minola Review, 2017-2023).
